What is Manga Translate?

Manga Translate is an Android app for reading and translating manga from websites and local files. It includes a browser, a local library, and floating translation for other apps.

How do I start reading?

Open a manga website from Browse, or import a supported file into Library. Choose your target language, open a page, and start translation.

Does the app provide manga or bypass paid chapters?

No. You choose the websites and files you are entitled to access. Manga Translate does not grant access to paid chapters or permission to redistribute manga.

Do I need screen capture or accessibility permissions?

Reading local files and using the built-in browser do not require a global screen capture session. Floating translation over other apps uses overlay and screen capture permission. Optional accessibility support detects screen changes for automatic translation; it does not read the accessibility text tree.

Can I translate completely offline?

Do not rely on fully offline translation. Some text recognition runs on your device, and the optional Japanese recognition package can be used locally after download. Websites, online translation, AI translation, sign-in, and purchases need an internet connection.

How does AI translation work?

When you select AI translation, recognized text and translation preferences are sent to the translation service. AI translation is subject to the current plan and usage limits. Standard translation remains available when the AI quota is exhausted.

What devices are supported?

Manga Translate supports Android 8.0 and later. Availability and compatibility are shown on Google Play. Text recognition and translation quality depend on the source language, artwork, and image quality.

How do I manage a subscription or delete my account?

Manage recurring subscriptions in Google Play. Deleting an account does not cancel a Google Play subscription. Use Settings → your account → Delete account, or visit the account deletion page for email support.
